Parliament House Canberra

In 1979, Paul Johnson and Tony Rodi proposed a revolutionary solar design for the new Canberra Parliament House.

This concept, both in solar design and political philosophy, was implemented in the German Parliament’s dual layered glass dome, climate control technology. In 1999 British Architect Laureate, Sir Norman Foster, was awarded the International Pritzker Prize for Architecture for the redesigned  German Parliament House, the Reichstag, currently proclaimed as the greenest building on earth.
